An ideal base for a seaworthy pedalo!

Martin Fry and Robert White from Topper have very generously donated the prototype hull from their Topaz 16 catamaran. This has provied to be a perfect base from which to build a very stable, fast and seaworthy pedalo.

L. S. Eaves along with Nigel Eaves have provided a huge amount of support, from the space and equipment needed to build the pedalo to the ongoing use of one of their recovery vehicles to transport the pedalo around.

Garmin, world leader in satellite navigation have loaned us one of their handheld GPS devices. This will help ensure we don’t get lost on our voyage – even if we are troubled by fog.

Neptune Navigation

Neptune Navigation, experts in marine navigation software have very kindly given us access to their software to help plan our route. The software includes tidal data so helps us identify the best time and date to set off. It also allows us to analyse the impact of different boat speeds on the duration of the trip

Yacht Kaparda

The amazing crew of yacht Kaparda was a key part of the challenge effort, ascting as support vessel for the crossing.  The energy food, drinks and general motivational efforts by the crew on board were much appreciated.
