We have some fantastic individual support and support from some great business sponsor however we are still looking for a main business sponsor. We have a lot of media coverage lined up and know that there is a business out there who values this cause and would benefit from the publicity. Please contact Alastair on 07891 124 723 if you are interested. Our business sponsors so far;
Topper
Martin Fry and Robert White from Topper have very generously donated the prototype hull from their Topaz 16 catamaran. This has provied to be a perfect base from which to build a very stable, fast and seaworthy pedalo.
L. S. Eaves along with Nigel Eaves have provided a huge amount of support, from the space and equipment needed to build the pedalo to the ongoing use of one of their recovery vehicles to transport the pedalo around.
Garmin, world leader in satellite navigation have loaned us one of their handheld GPS devices. This will help ensure we don’t get lost on our voyage – even if we are troubled by fog.
Stena Line
Stena Line, one of the world’s leading ferry companies, offers low fares and a speedier ferry travel service to Ireland, Britain and Holland. Nigel Tilson, Stena Line’s UK Communications Manager, said: “Stena Line is happy to support Alastair, Rupert and Nigel in their efforts to cross the Irish Sea on a pedalo. It will be tough, but we’re confident they can do it.
Yacht Kaparda
The amazing crew of yacht Kaparda was a key part of the challenge effort, ascting as support vessel for the crossing. The energy food, drinks and general motivational efforts by the crew on board were much appreciated.
